Calendar of Events
If you would like to submit an event to be posted on the ADP Calendar of Events, please use the online Public Affairs Calendar Form.
When we receive your completed form describing your event, we will review it for appropriateness. If approved, your event will be posted on the calendar. Examples of the types of events appropriate for the calendar include alcohol and other drug training conferences, meetings, workshops, and important dates or events relative to the substance use disorder and problem gambling fields (such as Alcohol Awareness Month, Problem Gambling Awareness Week, and Recovery Month activities).
If applicable, you may also include sponsors and website links related to the event in the description. Please provide as much information as possible. Calendars are updated as requested.
When you are planning a conference, meeting, or other event at which you need publications from ADP’s Resource Center, please e-mail the Resource Center with your request no later than two months prior to the event. We need time to print or order what you'll need to ship it to you on time.

SARC 2012 - Substance Abuse Research Cosortium | The semi-annual SARC research-to-policy meeting series offers an opportunity for professionals interested in substance use disorder research information from a variety of disciplines to exchange current research on California substance use disorder trends, promising prevention and treatment strategies, criminal justice and social service partnerships, and other substance use disorder related topics. This SARC research-to-policy meeting series will focus on the theme “Past, Present, and Future,” paying tribute to the SUD treatment and recovery field. The agenda includes a retrospective review of the research literature from years past, an overview of where we are today, and a discussion of recommendations for future directions and key programmatic and policy issues to consider. DUI Advisory Group | The Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Advisory Group meets to discuss emerging issues and provide information regarding regulatory and policy issues associated with the statewide DUI program. In accordance with Title 9, California Code of Regulations, the Department is required to work with representatives of the county alcohol and drug program administrators, DUI programs, the judiciary, the Department of Motor Vehicles, and other interested parties to maintain quality assurance in the DUI program and to develop ongoing measures of effectiveness.

18th Annual Latino Behavioral Health Institute (LBHI) Conference | The 18th annual LBHI conference is themed “Advancing Latino Behavioral Health; from Margin to Mainstream.” The conference addresses critical issues of disparity of services to Latinos, and integration of health, mental health, and substance abuse. This year’s conference emphasizes developing strategies to achieve a culturally competent workforce necessary to provide efficient and effective services to Latinos. Terri Sue Canale, Deputy Director of the California Office of Problem Gambling will be a presenter at the conference.

The 5th International Conference on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder | The 5th International Conference on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Research: Results and Relevance Integrating Research, Policy, and Promising Practice Around the World This conference brings together experts from multiple disciplines to share international research, to discuss the implications of this research, and to promote scientific/community collaboration. It provides an opportunity to expand our understanding of the relationships between knowledge and research, and how this can apply to critical actions related to FASD.
