Description of Technical Assistance/Training Services or Materials —
The Resource Center (RC), California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs, maintains a comprehensive collection of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) prevention and treatment information. The RC provides services to all residents of California at no cost through the Clearinghouse, Library, Internet links, and a telephone information and referral system. Services can be accessed by letter, fax, Internet, e-mail, telephone, or in person during business hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The RC connects with clearinghouses, libraries, prevention and treatment resource centers, national, international, and local organizations in the exchange and dissemination of ATOD information.
Populations or Groups Served — Residents of California including families and individuals, community and other organizations, prevention and treatment programs, and those interested in alcohol and other drug issues.
Eligibility Criteria — Residents of California; however, staff will assist others as needed.
