Women's and Perinatal Programs
Welcome to ADP's Office of Women's and Perinatal Services (OWPS). This office oversees a statewide network of approximately 300 publically-funded perinatal alcohol and drug treatement programs that annually serve over 38,000 pregnant and parenting women.
Our director, Renée Zito, recently announced an expansion of the previous Office of Perinatal Substance Abuse (OPSA) as "the beginning of many enhancements to improve alcohol and other drug (AOD) services for women of all ages, their children, and their families."
Our efforts to assist all women are guided by the following principles:
- Vision: All women have access to participant/client-centered, comprehensive, gender-responsive alcohol and other drug services.
- Mission: Develop, implement, disseminate and evaluate effective alcohol and other drug programs for women of all ages.
We hope you find this site helpful and informative. The links to the left provide access to information about substance abuse treatment services for California women. This also includes links to our partner agencies, research, foundations, and organizations with expertise in the women's and perinatal substance abuse treatment field.
