California Meth Initiative
Methamphetamine is now the most commonly reported primary drug of abuse in California's publicly funded treatment system. Nationwide, Californians make up 40% of all methamphetamine treatment admissions. Most importantly what is known is that treatment does work for methamphetamine addicts and everyday researchers are discovering new effective treatment methods. Prevention efforts are also necessary to prevent methamphetamine use, encourage discontinued use and motivate individuals to seek help if necessary.
If you or someone you know has a problem with methamphetamine, treatment help is available. Those services range from emergency counseling to residential treatment.
